Bidding Farewell

It has unfortunately become necessary for me to end my time here at These Gentlemen. I have enjoyed my time here, and I hope you all have enjoyed having me around, but other factors in life have come into play and I cannot ignore them. Perhaps when my sentence is up, should it come to that, I will be able to once again be a contributing member, but this isn't anything I can say for certain until after the trial.

I want to thank everyone who has read my work and commented on it, and I certainly hope you won't think less of me after what I've done. And to the lovely Ali Daniels, even if worse comes to worst, I will be there for at least the second birthday.

Farewell, These Gentlemen, and may you continue to provide both style and substance for the readers of this blog.

You've totally ruined my "who's going to be the last of us to go to prison?" bracket.

But David, what will the future voters say?! Also, you should work on getting into one of those fancy schamancy prisons. I hear the one Martha Stewart was in had private rooms, wifi, and gardening classes.

Oh, also congrats on the baby! Can't wait to set up play dates.

I first read this at 6 in the morning and definitely did not.. you know; it was early.

No worries Matt, it worked on me, too. Actually, Jason's comment reminded me that today was April Fools day

Yeah Matt, don't sweat it. I read it late last night, and even I had a moment of, "Wait, I AM?!"

Wow, I totally took it seriously at first, too - but that's because I read "perhaps when my sentence is up" as "perhaps after this upcoming month when I have to work almost every day is over," I read "after the trial" as "after the trial period of being away from the blog," and "be there for the second birthday" as "I'll come back and post on TG when the blog has its second anniversary."

So I read it as just meaning that Dave was leaving the blog, which was considerably less outrageous and April's Fools-y than jail and babies.

Obviously I read it really fast.

I'd considered making one of the tags "negligent homicide" but decided to keep it vague.
