You have 11 writers. Yesterday three of them posted something within hours of each other. That's the only real complaint I have about These Gentlemen, there will be a couple days of nothing and then 3 things at once. As a reader who only checks daily (I assume most people do the same or use an RSS feed) its a bit off putting and I think I've probably missed a view posts. You don't need anymore writers you need to schedule everyone out more efficiently I think.
Appreciate that you're a regular reader - hope you enjoy most of the content. And we always do appreciate feedback.
In response to your points, we decided internally awhile ago to keep a steady roster of 12 full time writers. So as one leaves, we fill the spot. Given that everyone has different life schedules and posting schedules this makes sure we don't end up with a slow period, along with other internal procedures.
Our goal is to have at least one new post a day. Sometimes we slip, but that's our general goal.
In terms of multiple posts a day, I have to personally say I don't see it as a bad thing. Different people have different reading habits - some check our site multiple times a day looking for new content and comments, some daily, some once a week and bulk read. We give the writers the freedom to write and post when they have the urge to promote creativity and capturing certain moments at their hot points. This makes scheduling posts from above difficult and is one of the things I like about us. As a reader of other sites I'm always hungry for new content (so long as its quality)
With that said, we are instituting some new features in the coming months that will have very definitive publishing schedules to address exactly that kind of concern and hopefully they will enhance your reading experience. (I'll have a weekly column starting soon, and some new initiatives starting in August and Septmember).
